From War to Peace – Weapons Recycled into Jewelry
Many of the stories written about history are about war and death. A lot of history is about transitions, from one government or kingdom to another and from an old technology to a new one.
Throughout history, each generation discovered better and more efficient ways of killing each other. With the advent of nuclear weapons, we pretty much reached the pinnacle of how far we can go. At the expense of the people of the Soviet Union, who starved to death in order to create more nuclear weapons to keep up with the US. If the cold war taught us anything, it was that the fear of nuclear war needs to end and peace should be sought.
While searching for advertisements for my website, I ran across an affiliate program for From War to Peace. I had never heard of them and looked into it further. From War to Peace is company dedicated to recycling weapons of war into jewelry and products promoting peace. Their “Peace Bronze” alloy is created from the metals of decommissioned nuclear weapon systems. I love this idea and needed to share it with my readers. Watch the video that explains the mission and vision that founder, Paul Ogren and president Sam Ogren seek for the future of the company and the world.
