Snowy Summer in Yunnan
Summer is far from hot and dry in Yunnan province, China, where you can touch the snow and walk among the clouds.
And the good news is, there is no need to suffer long and sleepless flights or sweat to climb all the way up to the top of Yulong Mountain, better known as the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
A comfortable and short bus trip from the town of Lijiang, located only some 15 kilometers down the mountain, and a cable car ride, take you straight, and closer, to one of the mountain’s 13 peaks at an altitude of 4,506 meters.
From a distance, when the weather is at its best, the snow-covered mountain glows under the sun, resembling a jade dragon lying among the clouds.
